I am so blessed to join you here. My prayer is that in our time together, we can both grow deeper in our love for Jesus!

My name is Candace Jeffries, and I live in a small town just outside of Kansas City, Missouri. My days are full of activity, much like your own, I’m guessing. I spend my days studying God’s Word, cheering my daughter on at softball games, doing laundry and dishes, working as a consultant pharmacist, and all the things that us moms do. I couldn’t do any of it without the amazing support of my husband and most importantly, without Jesus guiding me every step of the way.

I’m going to make a confession. Above all, I am what has been called a Jesus Freak. I love Jesus, and I love people!! Can I get an amen?! If you aren’t a fellow Jesus Freak yet, I hope you will grow to be one, also.

I grew up in a Christian home. I don’t ever remember waking up and not seeing my dad at the kitchen table reading his Bible. My parents were very wise. Dad always directed me to God’s Word in times of trouble, and my mom instilled in me a strong moral compass. I praise God for the firm foundation that my childhood was built on.

So, now the trials and tribulations.

The summer before my senior year, life as I knew it changed dramatically. My parents, who had taught me to rely on God, got a divorce and it rocked my world!!! I ran away from God, and I started looking for love in all the wrong places. BUT GOD!!! He never stopped pursuing me. You can NEVER outrun Him. He is jealous, and He will chase after you. By the grace of God, He saved me, and brought me to His side. He made me a new creation! What exciting news!

This transformation has given me a “mighty” passion for God’s Word. God’s Word has truly changed my life and my prayer is that this website will help you, and many others, to study God’s Word in a way that transforms your life as well. My goal is to help you fix your eyes on Jesus while learning how to study God’s Word inductively. What does that mean? You will learn how to study through Observation, Interpretation, and Application. Anyone ready to get into God’s Word? I can’t wait to see where God leads us on this amazing journey!
